TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR GABRIOLA COTTAGE
RATES
- High season: $875 per week (June 15 – Sept. 15)
- Low Season: $450 per week
- Exception: Dec. 20 – Jan. 2, which is considered high season
- Minimum stay in high season is 5 nights at $150 per night
- Minimum stay in low season is 2 nights at $100 per night
- Long weekends in low season is $125 per night
- Monthly rental in low season is $900 per month plus heating/hydro. Telephone and cable included. Maximum 3 people.
RESERVATIONS/DEPOSITS
- Prices quoted are for up to 4 people, extra person per night is $15
per night. Children up to 2 years free, 2-6 years half price. Maximum
occupancy level is 5-6 people
- Booking will be confirmed as soon as a deposit is received. The deposit
is one-half of the rental (no taxes).
- Final payment is due 60 days prior to check-in
- If a booking is made within 60 days of check-in, full payment becomes
due at time of booking
CANCELLATION POLICY
- If for some reason you cannot honour your reservation, 85% of you
payment will be refunded for those days for which we are able to get
an alternate booking. We cannot provide a refund for those days for
which no alternate booking can be made.
- Gabriola Cottage will of course refund 100% of your payment if our
property becomes unavailable for any reason. In this case, we will try
our best to find alternate accommodations for you on the island.
DISCLAIMER
- Gabriola Cottage assumes no responsibility
in connection with any injury, death, loss or accident which may occur
when guests are renting the property.
- No responsibility is accepted for any
local conditions such as weather, seasonal variation, labour strike
or acts of God.
- Gabriola Cottage is not responsible for
activities such as construction or tree falling on adjacent properties.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
- Check-in is 3:00pm. If you wish to check
in before that time, do let us know and we will try to accommodate you.
- Check-out is 11:00am. We expect the usual
courtesy of having the cottage vacated in a tidy condition We would
appreciate if all food is removed, dishes washed and furniture returned
to its original position.

DRINKING WATER
- We strongly suggest that guests use bottled
water while vacationing. Well water may cause digestive problems for
people not used to it.
- The Cottage has a water dispenser. Water
can be purchased at the Village Market. Gabriola Cottage supplies the
first container of water.
SUPPLIES
- Gabriola Cottage is stocked with bed linens,
blankets, duvets, bath towels and facecloths, and kitchen linens.
- The kitchen is fully stocked with pots
and pans, china, and cutlery
- There is a full service supermarket on
Gabriola as well as many other shops and services.
TRANSPORTATION
- Transportation is recommended since Gabriola
Cottage is located about 6 kilometres from the ferry as well as the
nearest food market.
- There is taxi service on the island for
your convenience.
WATER
- Water is at a premium on Gabriola. Some
ways to conserve water are:
- Take short showers or small baths
- Flushing the toilet only when necessary
- Not letting the kitchen tap run while
doing dishes
PETS
GARBAGE
- All garbage and recycling needs to be
removed to the outside cans at check-out.
FOUND ITEMS
- Gabriola Cottage will hold onto any found
items for 30 days. If guests request something be returned, there will
be a charge of $25 for handling and postage
